 Fred  Hallow  ( Timeline)

 

 

 

-1929  Fred Hallow was born New Zealand.

- 1960  Fred got a job in Australia. 

-1965 Became head of eye department in a hospital.

- 1970  He help launch a national program to attack eye disease in Aboriginal Australia.

-1980 Fred was traveling all over the world, set up eye programs  in developing countries.

-1989 Fred Hallow knew he wouldn't live to see all his ideas happen. He was dying of cancer. It didn't slow him down.

-1993 Fred died at home surrounded by his friends,his wife Gabi and five children.

Turning Points & Achievements(Nelson Mandela)


Turning Points:

- Became increasingly aware of the unjust nature of Sought Africa Society.

- In 1944 helped to find A.N.Z youth League.

- Resign  from  the A.N.Z and work underground.

- 1962 A rested and sentenced to life imprison in Robben Island prison.

- In 1990 Mandela  released from prison.

- Recently lost his elders son to this disease and work hard to campaign on this issue.)

- Mandela since retiring from office to be international figure of great stature


Achievements:


- In 1994 found ANZ youth league

- In1952 opened the first black law film in South Africa

- In 1960 advocate armed struggle through the MK

- Help to keep other men's  spirits high and never compromised his political
principle when offered early release.

- 10th of May 1994 Mandela was inaugurated as the first democratically elected
state president of South Africa.

- Work hard on H.I.V campaign.

- Mandela associated with many educational programmers and initiative such as
make poverty history campaign.

-In 1993 awarded the Nobel Peace Price.
